It's true, we are a visual society. Taking that a step further, any business owner should have a website to get information into the world. Nowadays, people like fast and easy. Instead of getting up and dressed and driving into town, they can get right online and see what you sell, where you're located, your prices, or even obtain contact information so they can call you. Perhaps you have a side hobby and want to start selling your creations for extra money. Not having a website, even a simple one, could mean that a potential customer moves on to the guy who does, simply because he has the information they need to buy what they want.

From simple splash (enter) pages to full sites, I can code, create graphics and organize. You are as involved as you want to be, from choosing colors and fonts to ok'ing button banner and placement. I may even be able to make your current site better, and I can help you set up a domain and host if you need me to!
